Sep 19, 2012 - StaffMary Linda White Jones, formerly of Riverton, died Sept. 2, 2012, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. She was 64 years old.
Services will be Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Mary Linda White Jones was born April 18, 1948, in Compton, Calif., to Ralph and Margaret White.
She grew up in southern California and graduated from North Hollywood High School.
She raised her two children, John and Jessica Sindoni, in Canyon Country, Calif.
In December 1990, she married Robert Jones and moved to Riverton, and then onto Story.
The couple retired in Mesquite, Nev., in 2011.
Her family said her world revolved around being the best grandmother she could be to her three grandchildren, and she loved spending time with her family, her wonderful neighbors in Sunset Greens and being a member of the Mesquite Elks.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jones of Mesquite, Nev.; son John Michael Sindoni; daughter Jessica Lee Rafkind and son-in-law Russell Rafkind of Canyon Country, Calif.; stepsons Robert and Michael Jones; grandson Bradley Sindoni of Huntington Beach, Calif.; granddaughters Lanie and Carlie Rafkind of Canyon Country, Calif.; sisters Margo White Hood of Mesquite, Nev.; her sons, Ben, Derek and Fred Gray; Marsha White Purefoy of Newhall, Calif.; and her daughters, Hallee and Mandee Purefoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret White.
