Jacqueline Hereford

Jacqueline Hereford died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the Riverton Hospice Center. She was 38 years old.

Traditional Indian services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Rocky Mountain Hall with Arlen and Harrison Shoyo Jr. officiating. An evening service and wake will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. Interment will be in the Chief Washakie Cemetery.

Jacqueline Hereford was born June 21, 1974, in Lander, the daughter of the late Sherman Hereford and Beverly Warren.

She attended schools at Fort Washakie and Wyoming Indian.

Her family said she enjoyed going to powwows, sundances and the casino, cooking, traveling, fishing, attending rodeos, taking care of her nieces and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her companion, Lucas Bache; brother Reynold Hereford and Joni Antelope; aunts Roberta Shakespeare and Charlotte Waterman; uncles Robert Hereford, Willis "Dukie" Hereford (Arlene Pogaree); other family members Gabe Johnson, Jake and Diane Rooks, Rosebud Nowlin, Wanda Tarness, William and Rikki, R V Sr. and Patty, Curtis, Afton, T J , Alice, Reynesse, Irene, Tudzer Sr. and Robert Jr., John, Turk, Lilayane and Lilajune, Sherman and Pam Hereford, Vernon, Verlin and Maria Rooks; Cheryl McLaughlin, Steve Thompson, Andy Whiteman, Zane and Charlene, Charles and Thelma, Ruby and Bernita Bell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by Sherman Hereford, Jackie Hereford, Beverly Warren Hereford, Patty Thompson, Elabie Hereford, Jody Nowlin, Percy Hereford, Murice Shakespeare, Dale Hereford Sr., David Case, Amanda Violet Perry, Barbara Posey, William Warren, Violet Case, Sherman George Hereford, Hazel LaJeunesse, Victor Hereford Sr. and Hazel, Louise and Emma Jean.

Services are provided by Wind Dancer Funeral Home.
