Jonathan Adam Theilig was born April 11, 1979.

The Claar family met Mr. Theilig 17 years ago, and he adopted their family as his own. When Robert and Carol Claar moved to Dubois, he relocated with them, along with the rest of their children.

His family said he loved spending time with family, collecting things, making deals and recycling metals. They said he could always be found with a coffee in his hand and a smile on his face. He was a free spirit, loved to carry on and joke with friends and family, and truly appreciated a good steak. He loved to make people laugh and always had a willing ear.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Claar of Dubois; brothers Robert Claar Jr. and his wife Sandra of East Freedom, Pa., Percy Claar Sr. and his wife Diana of Dubois and Gary Goehmann and his wife Sonia of Gillette; sisters Debra Castro and her husband Jerry, Brenda Waite and her husband Pat, Melissa Mincey and her husband Steven, all of Dubois, and Leah Nelson of Newcastle; estranged siblings Carry, Sara and James; and birth parents Skip and LouAnn Nelson of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Claar Sr.
