Mildred 'Millie' M. Kringle

Mildred "Millie" M. Kringle, of St. Joseph, Minn., died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Cloud, Minn. She was 90 years old.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, Minn. Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, Minn.

Mildred "Millie" Marie Kringle was born Aug. 19, 1922, in St. Cloud, Minn., the daughter of George and Anna (Hengel) Jaeger.

She was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946.

She married Lloyd "Kris" Kringle on June 18, 1955, in Watertown, S.D.

Mrs. Kringle worked as a bookkeeper for more than 60 years, including, American Legion for six years, Sunny Hill Distributors of Hibbing for 22 years, Maverick Motel in Lander for 15 years, retiring in 2003. She moved to St. Joseph, Minn., in 2010. Millie was a former member of the Hibbing Moose Club and the American Legion in Lander. She was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Kringle of Keewatin, Minn.; daughter Linda (Charlie) Browne of St. Joseph, Minn.; brothers and sister Gene (Lillian) Jaeger of St. Cloud, Minn., Pat Benson of Indianapolis and Joe Jaeger of Cokato, Minn.; six grandchildren, Kelli (Rob) Darr, Markie Dickinson, Jonas Dickinson, Jessie Kringle, Jillian (Tod) Nelson and Lucas Chubiz; and five great-grandchildren, Christian and Allie Darr, Daryl Lesleah Lindwurm and Jamieson Murray, and Ada Susan Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd "Kris" on Oct. 18, 1970; brother Thomas Jaeger; and an infant sister, Donna Mae Jaeger.
