Shoshoni High School has climbed into a No. 1 seed for the Class 2-A West regional volleyball tournament Friday and Saturday at Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse in Lander.
The Lady Wranglers posted a perfect record in league play to earn its high seed.
SHS finished the regular season Saturday, Oct. 13, with a 25-16, 22-25, 25-23, 15-19, win at Lovell.
"Lovell is a good team with solid defense and hitters," SHS coach Christina Mills said. "It was a great win for us."
Regional matches will be played in the auxiliary and fieldhouse gyms.
The Lady Wranglers begin regional tournament play at 11:30 a.m. Friday vs. Greybull at Lander Valley High School in the auxiliary gym.
The winner of the SHS-Greybull contest advances to the 4:30 p.m. Friday semifinal match between Wind River and Lovell on the fieldhouse court.
"No side of the bracket is a cakewalk. We have to be at our best if we are going to get to state," Mills said. "It's an entirely new game during tournament time. We need to continue to focus on each opponent as we meet them."
WRHS is a No. 3 seed for the tournament. The Lady Cougars play at 10 a.m., in the opening round of the tournament vs. the Lovell Bulldogs.
The first match of regionals is between Kemmerer (No. 2 seed) vs. Riverside (No. 3 seed) at 10 a.m.
"We have to continue to serve well and pass well," Mills said. "We need to continue to do the things that we have worked on all year and play our style of volleyball."
Thermopolis (No. 1 seed) and Big Piney (No. 4) play in a 11:30 a.m.
The third-place match is at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The title match will go off at 4 p.m.
"Our serving and passing has been a lot better as the year continues," Mills said. "These young ladies are placing serves well. In serve receive, they are not making our setter have to work to get the ball to our hitters. We need to continue to focus on both of these if we are going to continue to be successful."
Dubois is the only Fremont County squad in the Class 1-A West regional volleyball tournament.
The Rams enter the double-elimination bracket as the No. 2 seed.
DHS plays at 1 p.m. vs. Encampment (No. 3 seed) in the auxiliary gym on Friday to begin the postseason.
The winner of the Dubois-Encampment match plays at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals against the winner or Cokeville (No. 1 seed)-Hanna Elk Mountain (No. 5 seed).
Hanna advanced to the tournament after beating Ten Sleep on Monday afternoon in a pigtail match.
The title match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

1 p.m. -- Burlington (No. 1 seed) vs. Farson-Eden (No. 4 seed), fieldhouse.
2:30 p.m. -- Little Snake River (No. 2 seed) vs Meeteetse (No. 3 seed), fieldhouse.
