Oct 19, 2012 - StaffPatricia A. Romine, formerly of Lander, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo. She was 87 years old.
Private services will be held by her family.
Patricia Ann Bennett was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Bell, Calif., the daughter of William and Ann Bennett. She grew up and went to school in Long Beach, Calif., and graduated from Jordan High School.
She married Bill Hall at the end of World War II, and they made their home in Dumas, Texas.
She later married W.T. Romine in Long Beach, Calif., where they made their home until moving to Wyoming in 1949. They lived in Cheyenne where Mr. Romine worked in construction. In 1955 they moved to Lander where Mrs. Romine was a secretary and worked at various businesses.
She continued living in Lander after her divorce until 1992 when she moved to Buffalo to be near her children.
She was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Oriental Band and was a supporter of the Shriner's Hospital.
Her family said she enjoyed sewing for charity and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Romine and his wife Susie of Buffalo and James Romine and his wife Sue of Buffalo; two daughters, Suzi Black and her husband Mitch of Buffalo and Sally Umber and her husband Ray of Buffalo; daughter-in-law Barbara Allen of Phoenix; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Patrick Romine.
Donations in Mrs. Romine's memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Adams Funeral Home, 351 N. Adams Ave., Buffalo.
