Oct 21, 2012 - StaffNicki F. Schumacher, formerly of Riverton, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, from complications of cancer. She was 66 years old. At her request, there will be no services.
Nicki French Schumacher was born Oct. 12, 1945, in Denver.
She worked in the Glenrock School District and the Humboldt County School District.
Her family said she was a lifelong Wyoming Cowboys fan and loved the Chicago Cubs, and she loved to watch her boys play sports while growing up in Glenrock and Winnemucca, Nev.
In her life she saw the world but always told her kids that living in the United States of America was a privilege, and she deeply loved her country.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; sons Albert and his wife Annette, Andrew and his wife Joanne, Gordy and his wife Stacy and Garrett; granddaughters Alix O'Neil and Madaline Schu-macher; grandsons Morgan, Patrick, Maxwell, William and Jacob Schumacher; sisters Kathi Yenney and Joanne Jacka; sister-in-law Margaret Thompson; and numerous nephews, nieces and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Anna French; in-laws Albert and Opal Schumacher; and brothers-in-Iaw Bob Yenney, Chuck Thomp-son.
Mrs. Schumacher wished that memorials would go to the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice, P.O. Box 843, Winnemucca, NV 89446. Those wishing to share memories with the family may do so at albertsonfuneralhome.com.
