Carl L. Johnson died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his residence on Paradise Valley Road. He was 66 years old.

His wishes were to be cremated with no services.

Carl L. Johnson was born Oct. 7, 1946, in Woodlake, Calif., the son of Carl and Bette Johnson.

He attended schools in California. He worked at the Defense Depot in Tracy, Calif., and retired after 34 years. He moved to Riverton in 2002 and moved to his current residence on Paradise Valley Road in 2003.

Mr. Johnson was an avid hunter in his day and traveled to Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Montana on his hunting expeditions. It was on these trips that he fell in love with the beauty of Wyoming, and he talked of moving to Fremont County after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Jo of Shoshoni; mom Bette of Woodlake, Calif.; son Ian and his wife Sabina and their children Maja and Alexander of Shreveport, La.; daughter Tara Campbell and her husband Sean and their daughters Taylor and Jenna of Manteca, Calif.; brother Kevin and wife Pam of Visalia, Calif.; sisters Carrie Cotchett of Fallon, Nev., Cynthia and her husband Rick Logan of Lindsay, Calif., Jetta and her husband Joe Flores of Woodlake, Calif., and Sabrina Johnson of Woodlake, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Carl; brother Steven Johnson; and sister Denise Russell all of Woodlake, Calif.

Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
