Oct 26, 2012 - Kent Sidney, RivertonEditor:
I don't expect many people around here will like me saying this, but I have got to tell the truth about something.
I have a health insurance plan that I pay for myself, and this year I got a refund on what I paid for it. It came as big surprise to me.
I asked why I got it and my agent told me it was because of "Obamacare." She said only a certain portion of my money can be used for things besides my health care, and if they use more than they are allowed to under Obamacare, then they have to give some money back to me. I got a check for $153.
President Obama's people are always saying the public doesn't understand everything the new health care law (Obamacare) has within it, and I guess they are right. I sure didn't realize this part of it, but you won't hear me complaining.
