Nov 8, 2012 - From staff reportsLocal officials are investigating the death of 4-month-old Liam LaForme, who was pronounced dead Saturday at Riverton Memorial Hospital.
Riverton Police Department officers said they responded at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday to a home on Arapahoe Drive and attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the infant until emergency medical services arrived to transport him to RMH.
Preliminary autopsy findings were inconclusive, according to Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan, who said he will wait for follow-up information from a pathologist.
"Anytime you have a death of a 4-month-old, you have questions on it (because) a 4-month-old death isn't a normal occurrence," McAuslan said.
"But I don't know I would list (this incident) as suspicious," McAuslan said. "There was no obvious trauma or anything like that."
Full autopsy results will be available in four to six weeks.
