Nov 9, 2012 - From staff reportsCentral Wyoming College speech and debate teams, coached by new forensics director Josh House, had success at a recent tournament at Colorado College.
"It was the first ever parliamentary tournament for both teams, and despite competing against two- and four-year schools featuring competitors with prior high school and college experience, CC performed very well," House said.
The team of Garret VonKrosigk and Mike Mathews won four debates, and were one victory away from advancing to elimination rounds and winning an award, he said. The duo defeated a team from the University of Houston, two teams from Colorado Christian University, and a Northwest College/Colorado College hybrid team.
