Esther 'Frances' Lovato

Esther "Frances" Lovato, of Riverton, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at her home. She was 93 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with father Demetrio Penascoza officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church.
Frances Lovato was born Feb. 23, 1919, in French, N.M., the daughter of Joe M. and Floripa M. Perea.
She attended schools in Colmor, N.M., and lettered in basketball and speech.
On Dec. 7, 1936, she married Joseph Eloy Lovato at St. Stephen's Mission.
She had lived in the Riverton area for more than 76 years. She worked for Fremont Extension, Tom Knight Theaters, the Gas Lite Restaurant and many other places in Riverton.
Frances enjoyed sewing and playing bingo and Scrabble.
She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Wind River Deanery, Alter Society, Crusillios, RCCW, Navy Mothers and VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Eugene E. Lovato and his wife Estelle and James P. Lovato, both of Riverton; daughter Flora M. Apodaca of Riverton; sister Eloisa Walters of Riverton; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Eva; sons Eloy Jr. and Joseph; five grandchildren; four sisters; and four brothers.
