Rams dominate all-state team for 6-man football

After winning its first 6-man state football championship this season, Dubois put seven players on the 2012 all-state team.

Dubois all-state players are junior Sterling Baker, seniors Jesse Hawk, Cody Flynn, Kyle Tea, John Bartlett and juniors Austin Tharp and Nathan Moore.

The team was voted on by the Wyoming Coaches Association.

The Rams finished the 2012 season with a perfect 11-0 record.

Dubois capped off the season beating Snake River 54-30 in the 6-man title game on Friday, Nov. 9, at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

The Rams lost to Snake River in the 2011 championship game.

Individual awards

The Rams swept the individual awards on the state level.

Baker was named the offensive player of the year. Hawk was selected as the defensive player of the year. Trembly was awarded the coach of the year.

Baker finished the season with 1,933 yards on the ground and scored 34 touchdowns. He averaged 175.7 yards per game.

In the air, Baker was 28-51 for 569 yards. He had 12 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

Hawk finished with 1,506 rushing yards. He scored 31 times. He also was No. 1 on the team in defensive points with 215.5. He had 58 solo tackles and 45 assisted tackles.

Baker was No. 2 on the squad with 163.5 defensive points. He ended the season with 47 tackles and 40 assisted tackles.

Tea ended up No. 3 on the list at 160 points. Moore was No. 4 (146 points).
