Victim and driver named in hit-and-run car fatality

Dec 5, 2012 - From staff reports

Officials have released the names of the suspect and deceased victim involved in a hit-and-run accident early Monday at the Rezeride Roadhouse Saloon west of Kinnear.

Coroner Ed McAuslan said Michelle Littleshield, 35, of St. Stephen's, died at about 2 a.m. Monday of blunt-force trauma from the crash. Another woman reportedly was with Littleshield in the Rezeride parking lot where the accident occurred; the second woman was transported to Riverton Memorial Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Alma Mosho, 33, of Fort Hall, Idaho, has been arrested on two counts of aggravated homicide by vehicle in connection with the incident. According to reports, witnesses at the scene of the crash described her silver Nissan car as being responsible.

A Wind River Police Department officer who pulled the vehicle over on Wyoming Highway 132 about 20 minutes after the incident reported that Mosho was the sole occupant and operator of the car, which bore damage consistent with reports from witnesses at the Rezeride. The WRPD arrested Mosho at that time for driving under the influence of alcohol, but she was extradited from the Wind River Indian Reservation on Tuesday afternoon to be charged twice for aggravated homicide by vehicle.

Officials said the first count of aggravated homicide by vehicle alleges Mosho committed the crime while driving a vehicle recklessly, while count two alleges that she committed the crime while under the influence of alcohol.

She is alleged to have struck two victims with her vehicle in the parking lot of the Rezeride Roadhouse bar for reasons unknown at this time. Mosho's arraignment was Wednesday, when Riverton Circuit Court Judge Wesley A. Roberts set her bond at $50,000. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 12 in Riverton.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office will work with the Fremont County Coroner's Office on the case with assistance from the WRPD and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
