Injury Prevention Resources names new executive director

Dec 16, 2012 - Staff

The Board of Directors of Injury Prevention Resources is pleased to announce that Noel Cooper has been named as the agency's new executive director.

Cooper had formerly served as the safety education coordinator for the agency and will continue to fulfill some of the responsibilities of that role.

After living in Montana for eight years, Cooper said he is proud to be back home in Fremont County. He is excited to lead the IPR team of professionals to carry on the agency's mission.

IPR is a nonprofit organization with a mission dedicated to saving lives across Wyoming. The group attempts to meet that goal through programs emphasizing safe driving, and through the distribution of child safety seats and bicycle helmets.

The IPR supervised probation program for people convicted of driving under the influence provides a sentencing option for courts dealing with DUI offenders. In addition, the IPR scramX alcohol monitoring bracelets continue to keep the community safe by providing options for continuous alcohol monitoring for Fremont County probation, parole and court services.

The IPR office is located at 303 N. Broadway Ave. in Riverton. Call 856-2821 for an appointment.
