Holding out hope for white ChristmasDec 21, 2012 - Matt Davis, Thornton, Colo. Editor: I am sorry to read about the dry ground at Christmas time in Riverton this year. When I was a kid there we used to sled hour after hour in the snow. It seems like there was always snow from Thanksgiving on. We would sled down the banks at the Tonkin football field and anywhere else we could find. I got a metal "saucer" for Christmas when I was 9 years old, and it was the best. I won't be there, but I hope Riverton still can have a white Christmas. |
