CAVANESS

Donald Howard Cavaness, 66, died Saturday, Dec. 19, at his home near Riverton. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the Riverton V.F.W. Post.

POLLOCK

Geraldine A. Pollock, 83, of Riverton, died Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Thurman will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Emergency calls

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Thursday to Friday morning:

- Louis Montoya, 24, of Dubois, was arrested on a warrant for probation revocation at about 2 p.m. Thursday on Hough Street in Dubois.

In Riverton Police Department reports Thursday to Friday morning:

- Arrest records were not available.

- An event for Riverton High Schoolers scheduled to take place Friday at Central Wyoming College was canceled after unsubstantiated rumors were spread alleging a bomb threat had been made. Officials said no threats were received, but students were anxious because of the rumors. Administrators at RHS and CWC spoke with the Riverton Police Department about the issue and said they decided to cancel the event to quell any nervousness for students coping with news of school shootings in Casper and Connecticut this month.
