Jan 3, 2013 - StaffEsther Ruth Noyes died at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1, 2013, surrounded by family. She was 80 years old.
Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at United Baptist Church, 1201 E. Pershing Ave., Riverton. A private family inurnment will be held later.
Her family said she enjoyed crocheting, painting and cooking, and she was known in the family as the "food pusher." It gave her great joy to feed any and everyone around her table. Her enjoyed Christmas, which she celebrated from Nov. 1 until the songs of the season ended on cable TV sometime in January.
She is survived by her husband, Merrill Noyes; daughter Patricia Miles and her husband William; son Brian Witt and his wife La Vina; son David Witt and his wife Lora; grandchildren Laurence Miles, Tricia Merta, Jeremy Merta, Latosha Robbins, Karen Wells, Judith Proo and James Witt; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Virgil Witt; daughters Kathleen and Suzanne; two sisters; and granddaughter Yvonne.
Memorial contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice in Riverton.
