Chiefs advance to 2-A title game

Wyoming Indian High School will play Lovell in the championship game of the Wyoming Class 2-A state tournament Saturday in Casper, and the Ranger will be there. Catch all of the details of the title match in Sunday's Ranger.

WIHS advanced with a thrilling 52-51 win over Greybull and Lovell defeated Wind River 79-52 in the other semi-final game Friday.

Game time for Saturday's championship game will be approximately 8:30 p.m. in the Casper Events Center.

Wind River now plays Greybull in the third place game Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Casper College.

In Class 2-A girls action, WIHS lost to Thermopolis 46-39 and will now play Tongue River in Saturday's third place game at 10:30 a.m. at Casper College.

The Shoshoni Lady Blue stayed alive in consolation play with a 45-25 win over Lusk and will now play Pine Bluffs in the fifth place game Saturday at 9 a.m. at Casper College.

In Class 1-A play, St. Stephen's lost in Friday's semi-final to Burlington 69-56 and will now play in Saturday's third place game against Ten Sleep at 1:30 p.m. at Casper College.
