Helping hand made worrisome situation much easier to handle

In today's world, where bad news seems to prevail, we would like to share a story that reminds us why we choose to live in this great state of Wyoming.

After recently competing in a basketball tournament in Lander, we boarded our bus to head back to Cody. After traveling about five miles, our bus blew a radiator hose.

What transpired next says a lot about our state and its gracious people. It seemed that nearly every passing car stopped to offer assistance, and, ironically, it didn't take very long to establish that we knew someone in common.

Even though it was late on Saturday night, the Lander schools transportation department sprang into action and sent a bus out to get us off the highway in no time at all. They also helped to quickly repair our bus and get us back on the road.

Thanks again, for all the help and for the opportunity to live in such a great place.
