Jan 20, 2013 - From staff reportsThe Central Wyoming College Theater Department is having an audition for the public reading of the critically acclaimed play "8." Tryouts will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, on the main stage of the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre.
The theater department plans to present a staged reading of the new documentary play that tackles the marriage equality debate. The play is by Dustin Lance Black, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of "Milk."
Theater director Mike Myers said there are roles for 16 men and five women, and those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.
The selected actors will rehearse four times for the only performance at 2:30 p.m. March 3.
