Jan 23, 2013 - StaffDaniel Orvill (Danny) Edwards died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at his home in Lander with his wife, Cindy, at his side. He was 60 years old.
A simple gathering will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the VFW.
Daniel Orvill (Danny) Edwards was born May 24, 1952, in Wheeler, Texas, the son of Leonard and Ruby Edwards. He moved to Lander in 1980 where he met his future wife. They married Dec. 2, 1980.
His family said he lived for the outdoors, and fishing and country music were his passion. They said he was a Jack of all trades, and he was known for his mechanic skills and his all-around ability to fix things.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy of Lander; son Chad and his wife Vicki; daughters Dana DeKing of Lander and Shawna Burnett of Riverton; grandchildren Alyssa and Logan of Evans, Colo., Tyson Iams and his wife Victoria, Kayla Iams, Drew DeKing, Brodey, Quincie, Sammy and Conner; and great-granddaughter Tiara.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Carty.
