Patricia E. Walthers, of Riverton, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at her home. She was 79 years old.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Patricia Ellen Barrett was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Hot Springs, S.D., the daughter of Larry and Eva (Walker) Barrett. She grew up in the Missouri Valley area and graduated from Shoshoni High School. She lived most of her life in Fremont County.

She married Calvin H. Walthers on May 29, 1959, in Lander. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2011.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton.

Mrs. Walthers had been a mother, a waitress, an assembler at DH Print and Brunton, and worked at Taco Time and Paintbrush Motel.

She was a past member of the Riverton Eagles Club and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Walthers enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embroidery, gambling and playing darts, for which she was nicknamed "Hip Shot".

She is survived by her daughters, Edie Muggelberg and her husband Nick of Hudson, Patsy Flahaut and her husband Brian of Riverton, Eva "Babe" Martel and her husband J.C. of Riverton, and Robin Hamilton and her husband Kelly of Riverton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers Delmar Barrett and his wife Shirley of Riverton and Henry Barrett and his wife Patsy of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; parents; brothers Lawrence and Robert; sister Mary Johnson; and son Joseph Fuller.

Memorial donations may be given to Amedisys Hospice, in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
