Jan 27, 2013 - StaffSherry J. Snapp of Riverton died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at her home. She was 66 years old.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Davis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rex Whitman of First Baptist Church of Riverton officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Viewing is from 8-10 a.m. the day of the service at the funeral home.
Sherry Jean Stevens was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Weldon Stevens and Mary (Wooten) Stevens.
She grew up in Texas and Utah and graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in Lander. She lived in the Riverton area most of her life.
She married Bill Snapp on June 2, 1979, in Lander.
Mrs. Snapp was a caregiver at Wyoming State Training School, now Wyoming Life Resource Center, in Lander.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Riverton.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Snapp of Riverton; son David Snapp and his girlfriend Shea of Casper; daughters Malinda Grylls Deavor of Omaha, Neb., Lydia Grylls Longtine of Riverton and Debra Snapp of Riverton; mother Mary Lane of Lovell; brothers Weldon Stevens Jr. of Nevada and Tracy Stevens of Utah; sisters Wanda Veach and her husband Pat and Vicki Kidman and her husband Kevin, all of Lander; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Weldon Stevens.
