Evelyn L. Natzke died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Evergreen, Colo. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton. Pastor David Magruder will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Evelyn Lorraine Poffenroth was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Longmont, Colo., the daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth (Befus) Poffenroth. At the age of 5 she moved with the family to Riverton where she graduated from Riverton High School.

After high school, she went to Denver to attend Parks Business College. She then worked for Sun Life Insurance Company of Canada in Denver for seven and a half years, leaving when her daughter was born. She liked Denver so well she stayed in the same house for 42 years. Her next move was to the Concordia on the Lake Senior Apartments in Denver and then finally to Elk Run Assisted Living Community in Evergreen, Colo.

She was of the Lutheran faith, confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Denver.

Her family said her joy was her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Larry and his wife Valerie of Pine, Colo.; daughter Lori and her husband David of Fredericksburg, Texas; brother Raymond Poffenroth and his wife Jody of Riverton; grandchildren Connor Natzke, Sierra Natzke, Cassandra (Dreyer) Voss and her husband Matthew, Austin Dreyer, Leland Dreyer, Caleb Dreyer and Daniel Dreyer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Poffenroth, in 1960 and mother, Elizabeth Poffenroth, in 2009.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Davis Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
