Veterans officer to provide outreach

Mar 3, 2013 - From staff reports

A state of Wyoming veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct community outreach services in Wyoming cities throughout March.

Lori McGee is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans' benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs claims, or VA health care. McGee can also help veterans and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request health care.

Her office is staffed in Lander, at the National Guard Armory, 31 Leedy Drive, and she will also be available at the following locations:

- Riverton: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 6, March 13 and March 27, at the Veterans Affairs Clinic, 2300 Rose Lane.

- Dubois: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 20 at the High Country Senior Center, 504 Hays St.

During periods of inclement weather, check with the staff at the outreach locations to ensure the veterans service officer will be available.

McGee is available to meet with veterans and their families from Fremont and Teton counties in addition to the scheduled outreach.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call McGee at 438-2101.
