Mar 8, 2013 - StaffJacqueline (Smith) Norsworthy died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at home in Greeley, Colo. She was 83 years old.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the VFW, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail Road, in Casper and will be officiated by Whalan Woodwoth.
Jacqueline Smith was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Drumright, Okla., the daughter of Adam B. and Florence Smith. She moved from Oklahoma with her parents and two sisters in June 1934. They settled in Midwest, Wyo., where she was raised and went to school.
She married James E. Norsworthy on Oct. 19, 1946, at the Midwest Community Church. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
In her earlier days she enjoyed bowling, fishing and get-togethers with family and friends. She spent a lot of time with her husband and family at their cabin at Dullknife Lake Reservoir.
She is survived by her son, Greg Norsworthy of Greeley, Colo.; sisters Peggy Adams and Elouise Berry both of Casper; grandchildren Ronnie Norsworthy of Riverton, Kim Settlemire and her husband Rod of Riverton, Jason Norsworthy and his wife Billie Jo of Thermopolis, and Krystle Norsworthy and her partner Tana Hatfield of Greeley, Colo.; six great- grandchildren of Riverton, Thermopolis and Greeley, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 62 years, James; and sons Rodney and Jimmy Norsworthy.
