Five selected for UW Trustees Scholarships

Five Riverton High School seniors have been selected for University of Wyoming Trustees Scholarships this year.

This is an unprecedented number of RHS honorees, according to high school assistant principal John Griffith.

Winning the 2012 scholarships to enter UW this fall are Ian McDonald, Kayla Baldwin, Thomas Pointon, Sam Myers and Peter Wilcox.

The UW Trustee Scholarships are full tuition awards and are based on academic excellence, leadership, community service and an interview with the selection committee.

The Trustee Scholarships are the most prestigious awarded by the University of Wyoming to incoming freshmen.

It is renewable for up to eight semesters.
