Apr 14, 2013 - The Associated Press

CHEYENNE -- A woman has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $66,000 from a Montessori school in Cheyenne.

Teresa Meadowcroft pleaded guilty Thursday to one felony count of larceny and one felony count of forgery.

Meadowcroft is the former head of the Village Montessori School in Cheyenne and now lives in Massachusetts.

The maximum penalty for both charges is 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. A plea agreement recommends 10 years of probation in exchange for Meadowcroft's guilty plea.

According to court records, Meadowcroft is accused of obtaining a debit card through the school's bank account and making unauthorized charges for personal expenses.
