State discovers extra money for Capitol renovation

Apr 23, 2013 The Associated Press

CHEYENNE -- Officials have found more money for a proposed major renovation of the State Capitol in Cheyenne.

Budget officials recently discovered an extra $7.9 million that is earmarked for the project.

That money is in addition to the separate Capitol Rehabilitation and Reserve Account that contains about $93 million.

Jim Chaput told the State Building Commission last week that legislators set aside $7.9 million during the 2003 session.
