"Despite the weather and everything, I thought that we performed really well," RHS co-head coach Jorah Griffith said. "The attitudes were really good. There were some good things that were unexpected."

Evanston, Rock Springs and the Wolverines are all stacked in the 4-A West conference.

"The competition was pretty solid," Griffith said. "We wanted to see 4-A schools in our region. It was meet that we will keep on the schedule."

The next meet for the Wolverines is Friday in Thermopolis.

"We had a lot of personal records and a lot of improvement in different areas," RHS co-head coach Tawn Gopp said.

Griffith said Riverton's Jordan Settlemire was the biggest surprise for the Wolverines winning the pole vault competition, placing second in the shot put.

"The pole vault is an event that takes a lot of practice and reps," Griffith said. "She just started it sometime during the middle of the year.

She doesn't have that many reps under her belt. It's just going to go up for her."
