Apr 25, 2013 - StaffShawnda Rae Watkins died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Help for Health Hospice Home following a long battle with respiratory disease. She was 46 years old.
At her request, no services will be held.
Shawnda Rae Watkins was born Feb. 23, 1967, the daughter of Stephen R. and Vivian (Teter) Watkins in Denver. She was raised in Colorado and moved to Riverton in 1990.
She graduated from Arvada High School in Arvada, Colo., and from the Central Wyoming College nursing program in Riverton.
She worked for the Riverton Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse and as an ICU nurse in the Lander Regional Hospital.
Her family said she loved her pets and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her parents of Riverton; brother Kale Watkins and his wife Sandy; sisters Kelly Wicks and Amanda Nicholoff; husband Kyle; and nephews Dillon, Tristan and Jordan, all of Riverton.
Memorial contributions to the Shawnda Watkins Nursing Scholarship Fund CWC Foundation in care of Davis Funeral Home would be appreciated.
