Apr 28, 2013 - StaffLorna Lynn Flack died Friday, April 5, 2013, at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She was 47 years old.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 11, in Sturgis, S.D.
Lorna Lynn Flack was born Nov. 16, 1965, in Riverton, and was adopted by Lee and Jeanette McElwain when she was 9 months old. She joined two brothers in the family. She met her birth parents shortly after her 18th birthday.
She attended school in Casper and Sturgis, and was a member of the Northern Arapaho tribe.
On May 17, 1986, she married Mark Flack, and they moved to Las Vegas, Nev. She worked in Las Vegas, Gillette and Sturgis as a housekeeper and waitress.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette "Jeanie" Flack of Sioux Falls, S.D.; son Jordan Flack of Sturgis, S.D.; special friend David Jones of Sturgis, S.D.; her parents, Lee and Jeanette McElwain of Sturgis, S.D.; brothers Darrell McElwain of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Ken McElwain of Sturgis, S.D.; birth father Ernest Joseph Sun-Rhodes Jr.; sisters Cara Sun-Rhodes, Cassandra SunRhodes, Tressa SunRhodes, Ruth Sun-Rhodes, Amber Yellowbear, Tam-ara Warren and Melanie Warren; and brothers Alan Joe White Plume, Justin SunRhodes, Jude Warren, Kenny SunRhodes and Bricen Warren.
She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Mary Rose Yellowbear, and one brother, Ernest SunRhodes.
A memorial has been established.
