NICHOLS

Clarinda "Karen" Nichols, 72, of Lander, died Monday, April 29, at her home. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at the Church of the Nazarene in Lander. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

NORSE

Ashley Lynne Norse, 24, of Riverton, died Monday, April 29, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery in St. Stephen's. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, also at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. A wake will follow at 795 17 Mile Road. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

REED

Vance Reed, 44, of Riverton, died Saturday, April 20, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. The family will have a fried chicken potluck at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Lander Northside Park. It is open to all friends and family. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

VROMAN

Robert Vroman, 36, of Riverton, died Sunday, April 28, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Dale Gibson of Shoshoni will officiate. Interment will be at the Lake View Cemetery in Shoshoni.

Truth in American Education Presentation is at 5:30 p.m. May 1 at Headwaters Arts and Conference Center, 20 Stalnaker St., Dubois. The organization will show a 10-minute film, host a question and answer session, and provide information about how the Common Core State Standards will adversely affect children and their parents' rights.

Student Film Festival is 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 1 in the Little Theatre at Central Wyoming College, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton.

In Riverton Police Department weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

- Malcolm Whiteplume, 22, of Riverton, was arrested for disturbing the peace at about 2:15 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue. With him was Frantasia Maldonado, 24, of Riverton, who was arrested on two warrants for contempt of court.

- William Carpenter, 34, of Ethete, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court at about 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Jeffrey Butter, 24, of Riverton, was arrested on a courtesy hold at about 2:20 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of West Park Avenue.

- Shaun Bullington, 48, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Sixth Street East.

- Ronald Benally, 41, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Adams Avenue.

- William Topaum, 35, of Ethete, was arrested for public intoxication at about 11 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Robin Blind, 32, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Jason Oldman, 37, of Riverton, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at about 1 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Main Street.

- Michael Holbert, 19, of Riverton, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and use of a controlled substance at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Webbwood Road and Center Street.

- Rupert Brown, 35, of Arapahoe, was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear and one warrant for contempt of court at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Laterra Behan, 22, of Riverton, was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Sunset Drive.

- Houston Headley, 24, of Arapahoe, was arrested for probation violation at about 10:45 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Madison Avenue.

- Carlene Headley, 52, of Arapahoe, was arrested for public intoxication at about 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Fremont County Alcohol Crisis Center.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

- Johan Elisson, 39, of Dubois, was arrested on a warrant out of Sweetwater County at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 26 south of Dubois.

- Dean Hildebrant, 28, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence and speeding at about 1 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Riverview Road and the Riverview Cutoff.

- Hillary Martel, 34, of Lander, was arrested for interference with police at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Cross Street in Lander. According to reports, deputies arrived at the home to arrest Joseph Martel, 58, of Lander, on a warrant for failure to appear. Hillary Martel reportedly answered the door and lied about Joseph Martel's whereabouts after being told that he was wanted for arrest. Deputies said they had information that Joseph Martel was at the home; they located him there and arrested him on the warrant and placed Hillary Martel under arrest for interfering.

- Leland Rohn, 28, of Lander, was arrested on a warrant for probation revocation at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Wyoming Highway 789 in Riverton.

- Ronald Abernathy, 51, of Lander, was arrested for burglary at about 5:30 p.m. Monday in Atlantic City. Reports state he allegedly stole a revolver from a vehicle in Atlantic City. The case is under investigation.

- Ormando Bell, 28, of Riverton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at about 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Fremont County Courthouse in Riverton. With him was Talisse Fightingbear, 21, of Riverton, who also was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

- Richard Friday, 21, of Ethete, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at about 3:15 p.m. Monday at the Fremont County Courthouse in Lander.

- Benjamin Piper, 47, of Riverton, was arrested for breach of peace at about 8:20 p.m. Monday at the Fremont County Alcohol Crisis Center in Riverton. According to reports, Piper was punching people at the center. Riverton Police Department officers reportedly were busy elsewhere, so the FCSO assisted and arrested Piper.
