May 1, 2013 - StaffFremont County School District 25 Superintendent Terry Snyder has announced that a decision on the issues that have plagued the Riverton High School football program will be made public at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at a press conference at the District 25 administration building, 121 N. Fifth St. W.
Snyder's involvement in RHS football issues came after a regular school board meeting April 23 when a standing room only crowd listened to seven individuals express their support for seven assistant football coaches who either resigned or have been asked by head football coach Jeremy McCormick not to return to coach the Wolverines in the 2013-14 season.
Since that time, Snyder has met with McCormick, administrators, former players, current players and the coaches who were involved with last season's team.
Following the school board meeting, Snyder said, "I want to get a clearer picture of all the issues from all the angles. This is an important decision."
