Arthur Armstrong died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Lander. He was 77 years old.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1600 Sinks Canyon Road, Lander.
Arthur Armstrong was born Aug. 29, 1935, in Strathcona, Minn., the son of Lee Armstrong and Francis Novak. He grew up in Euclid, Minn.
Mr. Armstrong entered the Army in 1952 and served in Korea for one year. He was honorably discharged in 1955.
He married Janeth Rux on June 8, 1958, in St. Hilaire, Minn.
He farmed and ran a construction business in Minnesota until 1982 when the family moved to Lander. He worked construction in Lander until his retirement.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
His family said he enjoyed many years as a snowbird in Yuma, Ariz. They said he also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Janeth Armstrong; children Michelle Beito and her husband Mitch, Carolyn Armstrong, Connie Armstrong and Glen Armstrong; sisters Agnes Sellin, Ellen Johnson and her husband Wally, and Nancy Pedersen and her husband Galen; brothers Charles Armstrong and his wife Janet and David Armstrong and his wife Rosie; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, parents, two brothers and one sister.
