May 10, 2013 - StaffJeffery Spitler, of Riverton, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. He was 56 years old.
Funeral services will be later this summer.
Jeffery L. Spitler was born Feb. 18, 1957. He was a U.S. veteran and served his country for almost five years. During that time, he was a medic specialist and saw lots of action overseas.
His family said he enjoyed teaching medical classes and had returned to school at Central Wyoming College. Previously, he had obtained his bachelor's degree at Columbia University in Booneville, Mo.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Hayes, of Galena, Kan.; sisters Roxanne Spitler of Findlay, Ohio, Andrea Gagnon of Riverton, Nicolette Hastings of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Kathy O'Dell of Kalamazoo, Mich.; brother John Gaugush of Manassas, Va.; daughter Christina Spitler of Carthage, Mo.; stepdaughters Jeanine Downs of Kansas City, Mo., and Jordan Abraham of Booneville, Mo.; two nephews; four nieces; and longtime friend Penny Cox of Cheyenne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Spitler, of Canton, Ohio.
