May 22, 2013 - Andrea Danzig, RivertonEditor:
I do agree that the vacant property at the Fifth and Main intersection in downtown Riverton shouldn't just be left to whatever and who ever wants to do with it.
There was a letter to the editor about an abandoned car. There is an old beater car that is there a lot of the time, but I don't think it is right to call it an abandoned car. I go by there a lot, and the other day it was gone. Then it was back the next day and has been there every time I have noticed.
It does have some bad damage to the front, and there is some rust showing. But the other lady who wrote it made it sound like a junk yard over there, and that is exaggerating.
I am wondering, could the farmers market this summer be held there? It's a good location, and I have heard businesses one block over on Broadway complaining about the crowd.
