May 22, 2013 - StaffTheresa E. Spears died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her home in Riverton. She was 55 years old.
Cremation has taken place, and per her request, there will be no services.
Theresa Elaine Spears was born June 24, 1957, in San Jose, Calif., the daughter of Otis C. and Ruby A. (Manning) Grimsley.
She graduated from Arvada High School in Colorado, and she lived in California, Denver and Casper. She had lived in Riverton for the past 11 years.
On Sept. 24, 2002, she married Timothy J. "Tim" Spears.
She was an advocate for Paws for Life, and her family said she loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. She also enjoyed reading and cooking.
She worked as a lead bartender, market research, transit department at Brunton Group.
She is survived by her husband, Tim, of Riverton; daughter Desiree Wall and her husband Dave of Broomfield, Colo.; grandchildren Ethan and Dylan Wall of Broomfield, Colo., and Morgan, Jordan and Bryce of Wisconsin; stepdaughter Stacey McManus of Wisconsin; sisters Lavon Trepanier of Harlingen, Texas, Barbara Grissom of Boulder, Colo., and LaVerna Merritt of Aurora, Colo.; and other loving relatives too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Olinger; father Otis Grimsley; and sisters Peggy Grimsley and Geneva Seaman-Gutknecht.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paws for Life or the American Cancer Society in care of Davis Funeral Home.
