Feb 3, 2012 - StaffLander resident Spencer K. "Kai" Kelii, 21, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident Saturday, Jan. 28.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. A viewing precedes the service from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Spencer Kaikala Kelii was born Oct. 6, 1990, in Aurora, Colo., the son of Stanford Kuhea Kelii Jr. and Amelia Rose Kelii, the youngest of five siblings. He grew up in Golden, Colo., and moved to Lander in March 2008.
His family said Mr. Kelii loved to spend time with his friends and family, being outdoors, fishing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, running, swimming and watching movies. He was a big "Grey's Anatomy" fan.
The family noted that his generosity continued even after death as he was a giver of life through organ donation.
"Kai lives on through three fortunate recipients," they said.
Mr. Kelii is survived by a daughter, Kainoa Anjolee Miller-Kelii of Lander; sisters Alexys Kelii and Lara Siles Cordova of Denver, Ku'uipo Salva of Las Vegas; brothers-in-law Joe Mike Cordova and Keoni Salva; nephews Peyton Kelii-Coutts, Khrystian Cordova, Austin Salva, Skylar Salva, Blaise Salva and Trison Salva; niece Isabella Cordova.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanford Kuhea Kelii Jr. and brother Stanford Kuhea Kelii III.
