Deaths

BROWN

Marieta "Rita" Brown, 50, of Lander, died Tuesday, May 28, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. A funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

COPENHAVER

Zachary D. Copenhaver, 31, of San Tan Valley, Ariz., died Saturday, May 4. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service was Tuesday, May 14, in Powell.

DOLAN

Spencer "Spence" Dolan, 52, of Lander, died Tuesday, May 28, at his home. Per his family's request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.

FOSTER

Marvin Vern Foster, 87, longtime resident of Lander and Hudson, died of natural causes Sunday, June 2, at Lander Valley Regional Medical Center. Per his request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.

HEWITT

Roberta (Bobbie) Jean Hewitt, 46, died unexpectedly Monday, May 27, at her home in Lander. A memorial service and celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Church of the Nazarene in Lander. Cremation has taken place.

Emergency calls

In Riverton Police Department weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

- Franklin Tail, 23, of Lander, was arrested three times over the weekend: for shoplifting at about 5:20 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of South Federal Boulevard, for public intoxication and resisting arrest at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of South Federal Boulevard, and for public intoxication at about 10 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of North Federal.

- Dominic Fightingbear, 23, of Arapahoe, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant at about 5:45 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of South Federal Boulevard.

- Leland Teran, 60, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication at about 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Henry Tillman, 52, of Ethete, was arrested for public intoxication at about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of South Federal Boulevard.

- Devany Vincent, 30, of Riverton, was arrested on four Fremont County warrants just before 6 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Peck Avenue.

- Billie Blackburn, 42, of Arapahoe, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant at about 8 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Vincent Yellowbear, 52, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication at about 9:50 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of East Adams Avenue.

- A 20-year-old Riverton male was issued a misdemeanor citation for underage drinking at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East Main Street. He was released with his promise to appear in court at a later date.

- Houston Headley, 24, of Riverton, was arrested on a probation warrant and for resisting arrest at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Adams Avenue.

- A 26-year-old Riverton woman was issued a misdemeanor citation for shoplifting at about 4:50 p.m. Saturday at Walmart. She was released with her promise to appear in court at a later date.

- John Brown, 42, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence at about 5:50 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Jared Tyler, 20, of St. Stephen's, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant and for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) at about 6 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of South Federal Boulevard.

- Craig C'Bearing, 26, of Ethete, was arrested for public intoxication and open container at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of South Federal Boulevard. Officers were responding to calls about a family fight.R32;- Jason Moon, 37, of Ethete, was arrested for public intoxication at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Benjamin Piper, 47, of Arapahoe, was arrested for public intoxication at about 3 a.m. Sunday at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

- James Wheeler, 43, of Lander, was arrested on a municipal warrant at about 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of East Pershing Avenue.

- Rodeen Seminole, 45, of Fort Washakie, was arrested for public intoxication and on a Fremont County warrant at about 10 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Robin Blind, 32, a transient, was arrested for public intoxication and on a municipal warrant at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday at the south end of Railroad Avenue. With her was Rosetta Hutchinson, 36, of Riverton, who was arrested for assault and on a municipal warrant.

- Kimberly Moss, 21, of Ethete, was arrested on a municipal warrant and for trespassing and shoplifting at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Morfeld and Day drives.

- Emery Tindall, 51, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence at about 3:45 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Paul Johnson, 39, of St. Stephen's, was arrested for driving under the influence at about 10 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of East Fremont Avenue.

- Dominic Fightingbear, 36, of Arapahoe, was arrested on two municipal warrants at about 5:45 p.m. Monday at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

- Byron Lincoln, 47, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication and assault at about 6:50 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Main Street.

- Eldon Antelope, 48, of Riverton, was arrested on a municipal warrant at about 7:15 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Ninth Street East.

- Delight SunRhodes, 29, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication at about 8:45 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Vincent Yellowbear, 52, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication at about 9:15 p.m. Monday at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

- James Hallett, 42, of Lander, was arrested on three Fremont County warrants at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday on Chittim Road near Lander.

- Gary Jara, 44, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving roadway laned for traffic at about 2 a.m. Saturday on Sand Draw Road south of Riverton. According to reports, he was involved in a wreck during which a pickup truck rolled into someone's yard. No one was injured in the incident, which was investigated by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

- Thomas Tiger, 29, of Lander, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

- Clinton Williams, 28, of Riverton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

- The FCSO took 223 calls for service during this timeframe, including two calls involving motor vehicle accidents. County ambulances have been dispatched 70 times, and area fire departments responded to nine calls for help. Thirty-nine people were booked into the Fremont County Detention Center for charges including seven for driving under the influence, 13 on other alcohol-related charges, nine on felony charges and 59 on misdemeanor charges. The center currently is responsible for 189 inmates, including 166 at the facility, 13 in substance abuse treatment programs, three on home detention and four being housed elsewhere.
