Police seek information in Wednesday hit-and-run

Jun 7, 2013 - From staff reports

The Riverton Police Department is looking for information about a hit-and-run accident that was reported just before 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of South Federal Boulevard.

According to reports, the incident involved a blue 1993 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that reportedly left the scene after being involved in a crash with a white 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Initial reports state the Cruiser sustained front-end damage and was in the turning lane in front of Riverton RV Sales and Service.

Ambulance crews responded to the scene, but officials said the woman in the PT Cruiser was not transported to the hospital.

"We will be doing follow-up on that," RPD Capt. C.T. Smith said Thursday.

Anyone with information about the crash or the Delta's whereabouts can call the RPD at 856-4891.
