Thomas Mack Davis, of Worland, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at his home. He was 75 years old.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 44. There will be a luncheon following the services at the Eagles Lodge in Worland.
Thomas Mack Davis was born Feb. 11, 1938, in El Dorado, Ark., the son of Emmett Elijah and Lafette (King) Davis.
He traveled throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas with oilfield work. In November 1961, he began his service to his country in the U.S. Army. He returned to the oil industry in 1958.
Mr. Davis worked in the oil industry all over the state of Wyoming. His family said he was proud of his employment with Exeter Drilling Company.
Before retiring, he drove truck for various companies, including McGarvin-Moberly, Trans Systems and Sodys Water System.
He married Stanna Wilkinson in 1958 in Gillette. The couple had one daughter, Kerri, and later divorced.
In 1961, he married Judy Hilderman. They had four children: Terry, Barbara, Joe and Melody.
He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge, which he visited frequently.
His family said he enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his four-wheeler to the creek to catch minnows for bait. He liked watching Western movies with his dog, Cuddles, who was a great companion for him in his later years. He was an avid practical joker, especially around Halloween time or if fireworks were around. He was always up for a trip to Riverton to spend a few dollars at the casino.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Judy Alice Davis, of Billings, Mont.; sons Terry (Michael) Davis of Worland and Joe Davis of Torrington; daughters Kerri (George) Johnson of Riverton, Barbara (Kent) Miller of Laurel, Mont., and Melody (Paul) Meyers of Billings, Mont.; brother Bobby Gale (Mary) Davis of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren Austin Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Kelsey Johnson-Abbott, Josh, Morgan and Shay Davis, Ryan and Travis Keller, Erin Miller, Taz Davis, Amber and Justin Meyers; and great-grandchildren Brody, Brayden, Rhett, Bryndalyn, Stryder, Justin, Haiden and Tallon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jackie Davis.
