Jun 14, 2013 - StaffCeleste Lorenzen, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Monday, May 27, 2013, at her home. She was 84 years old.
Private family graveside service will be at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.
Celeste Marion Lavin Lorenzen was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Chicago, the daughter of Conrad H. and Celeste (Fitzgerald) Lavin.
Her family said she was an avid and talented quilter. She was always quoting, "Our lives are like quilts -- bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love" and with that she leaves a legacy of beauty and a tapestry of color for all her family and friends.
She is survived by her four children, Celeste Lorenzen (Kim Stephens) of Alberta, Canada, Ed (Toni) Lorenzen of La Plata, N.M., Martha (Robert) Lange of Riverton, and Clara (Don) Soucy of Bozeman, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward Lorenzen; infant daughter Doris Jane; and a brother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
