I wish the City of Riverton would rethink the idea of spending big bucks on the empty lot on Main Street for a park.
One day I couldn't find a parking place in that block, so instead of walking two blocks in the cold and wind I drove into that lot. I got what I needed and was on my way.
If you want people to shop downtown, then make it as convenient as possible. I'm sure the businesses along there appreciate the parking.
I am glad the farmers market will stay on Broadway Avenue. You want people to see what businesses are downtown. Too many people already know where the bars are.
Think about supporting the group wanting to improve Riverton City Park with a long-range plan. You could go to the recreation board each year for help with a certain project that would give kids and adults something to do there.
Forget the obsession with beautification and think what would most benefit the citizens.
