Jun 21, 2013 - StaffCassidy L. Cooper died Saturday, June 15, 2013, in Riverton. She was 6 years old.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne with Pastor Aaron Justice and the Rev. Diana Hartman officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne.
Cassidy Linn Cooper was born June 22, 2006, in Cheyenne and had lived in the area all of her life.
She just completed first grade at Burns Elementary School.
Her family said she loved to read more than anything, and she enjoyed solving and writing her own mysteries. She was involved in gymnastics and ballet at Act Two Studios. She enjoyed crafts and coloring, and she loved to sing and had written her own songs. She also had been learning to pan for gold with her dad. Most of all, she was dad's No. 1 helper.
She is survived by her parents, Chris and Cori (Shaffer) Cooper; sister Cadence "Cadie" Cooper; grandparents Glenn and Francene Shaffer of Cheyenne and Craig and Carol Cooper of Riverton; great-grandmother Leona Hagedorn of Cheyenne; aunts and uncles Darcy and Kevin Guille of Cheyenne, Geoff and Julie Cooper of St. Louis, and Catherine and Shane Rosenthal of Buffalo; and numerous cousins.
