ANDERSON

Robert L. Anderson, 92, of Riverton, died Friday, March 16, 2012. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, north of Rock Springs.

TAYLOR

Judith M. Taylor, 79, of Riverton, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Memorial services are pending through the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.

VEACH

Memorial services for Alice "Jo" Veach, 65, of rural Riverton, are at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at St. John Lutheran Church in Riverton. Mrs. Veach died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at her home. Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospitals for Children. Online condolences may be made at www.theDavisFuneralHome.com.

Riverton Readers meets at 6 p.m. at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park, Riverton. The book club will be discussing "The Adults" by Alison Espach. Espach will be visiting the library at 7 p.m. for an author talk and at 1 p.m. for a writer's workshop.

Riverton City Council Meeting is at 7 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd., Riverton.

Prehistoric Travel Routes of the Absaroka Mountains is at 7:15 p.m. at Hudson Town Hall, 333 S. Main St., Hudson. The Fremont County Archaeological Society is sponsoring a presentation by Mike Bies, a retired Bureau of Land Management archaeologist. Event is free.

Kindergarten Music Concert (Ms. Wood's class) is at 10:30 a.m. at Ashgrove Elementary, 510 N. First St., Riverton.

Circle of Care presented and facilitated by Amedisys Home Care and Hospice is at 11 a.m. at Amedisys Home Care, 514 Pershing Ave. Suite C, Riverton. The support group is for current and past caregivers, and the topic is communication with mid- to late-stage Alzheimer's patients. Respite care is available. Afternoon Readers meets at 1 p.m. at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park, Riverton. The book club will be discussing "The Overlook" by Michael Connelly.

West Nile Research Revealed is 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Main Hall 171 at Central Wyoming College. Undergraduate researchers and professor Steve McAllister present the results on their investigation into the natural history of West Nile virus in Fremont County at this month's colloquium.

In Riverton police reports from Friday to Tuesday morning:

- John Chavez, 29, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Charles Geboe, 41, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Susannah Brown, 34, of Riverton, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

- Terry Turpin, 37, of Riverton, was arrested for use of a toxic substance (Air Duster).

- Josephine Posey, 19, of Arapahoe, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant.

- Virgil Oldman, 56, of Arapahoe, was arrested for aggravated assault.

- Johnathan Engavo, 52, of Riverton, was arrested on a municipal court warrant.

- Edward Brown, 52, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Elaine Minick, 18, of Riverton, was arrested for DUI.

- Edward Brown, 52, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Michael Keele, 28, of Riverton, was arrested on Fremont County warrants.

- Darrell Dick, 46, of Riverton, was arrested for possession of marijuana and on a municipal court warrant.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Friday to Tuesday morning:

- Cindy Arthur, 48, of Casper, was arrested for probation revocation.

- Rusty Felter, 18, of Gentry, Ark., was arrested for minor in possession and breach of peace.

- Allison Sage, 37, of Arapahoe, was arrested for criminal entry.

- Joshua Mclean, 22, of Riverton, was arrested for DUI, registration violation and headlamps.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 70 calls and firefighters were dispatched 17 times.

- An ambulance crew responded to a call late Sunday night concerning a 30-year-old pregnant woman 37 weeks along in the Crowheart area who was having contractions 10 minutes apart. The call came in at 10:10 p.m.

According to the police report, the woman had the baby at milepost 114 on Highway 26.

- At 10:28 a.m. on Sunday, deputy sheriffs and Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan responded to a call regarding kids who reported they found what looked like human remains in the river near Sawmill Campground in Sinks Canyon State Park near Lander. The bones were reportedly wrapped in a sheet. McAuslan later confirmed the bones were non-human.
