Jul 1, 2013 - StaffGale L. Lange died Nov. 15, 2012, in El Paso, Texas.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Mountain View Cemetery.
Gale Lange was born July 30, 1937, in Callaway, Neb., the son of Ivan I. and Irva M. (Longmore) Lange.
He graduated from Riverton High School in 1955.
He married Clarissa Allen on March 4, 1957, and they had two children, Tim (Janice) Lange and Gaylene (Brian) Loghry.
The couple had a dairy farm on Buckhorn Flats Road for 25 years. In 1979, they moved to Colorado and had a trucking business, which led them to El Paso, Texas. They also owned Ranch-Way Feed Store until their health failed.
Mr. Lange had served on the National Dairy Board, and he earned the Outstanding Farmer of the Year Award and was a member of the local Jaycees.
He is survived by his mother, Irva Lange; sisters Delma McDaniel and her husband Jerry of California and Carol Tuss of Riverton; brothers Keith Lange and his wife Jeannie of Evanston and Wayne Lange and his wife Judy of Riverton; four nephews; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, grandson Billy Joe Lange; and brother-in-law Phillip Tuss.
