Jul 10, 2013 - StaffFiddlers Lake Campground on the Washakie Ranger District of the Shoshone National Forest is open to the public, with stipulations, for firewood gathering.
All interested parties with current firewood permits may gather firewood at the Fiddlers Lake Campground from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday until further notice. Firewood may only be gathered from trees that are already downed.
Firewood permits may be purchased at the Washakie Ranger District office, 333 E. Main St. in Lander. The minimum purchase is three chords at a total cost of $22.50. Additional chords may be purchased for $7.50 a chord.
