Riverton man awarded for military service

A Riverton soldier with the Wyoming Army National Guard recently was awarded for his service and achievements while assigned to B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery, based in Lander.

Sgt. 1st Class Ronald Glasgow, of Riverton, received the Army Commendation Medal for outstanding service. He has been a member of the Wyoming National Guard for three years.

Besides serving in the Wyoming National Guard, Glasgow is a mechanical technician and computer programmer for the Wind River Hotel and Casino.

Spc. Derek Leonhardt, of Lovell, also received the Army Achievement Medal for exceptional achievements. He has been a member of the Wyoming National Guard for four years.

Besides serving in the Wyoming National Guard, Leonhardt is a construction worker with EEC Construction.
